OK, just finished all the scaling and major design work for us and for providing to the town. Yes I know its just a big canoe but the town is what it is 🙂 Still have not heard back from any tree services. Tue after the holiday will begin calling around.
Have images of the plans and of the 3D renderings created by the software design program. I’ll be uploading them over the weekend. Need to give my eyes a rest now and go bake for tomorrow.
Anyhoo here are the final relative dimensions. I say relative because we’re doing this from logs and not laser cutting LOL:
Over All Length BowStem >SternStem> 11621.20 mm = 457.53″ = 38.13′
Underside Keel to Drakkar Head> 2599.80 mm = 102.35″ = 8.53′
Baseline to T.D.H. > 2470.45 mm = 97.26″ = 8.11′
Top Gunwale to T.D.H > 792.20 mm = 31.19″ = 2.60′
Front Bow to Back D.H. > 432.30 mm = 17.02″ = 1.42′
Underside Keel to Drakkar Tail> 2307.60 mm = 90.85″ = 7.57′
Top Gunwale to T.D.T > 623.10 mm = 24.53″ = 2.04′
Back Stern to Front D.T. > 302.80 mm = 11.92″ = 0.99′
Height Keel at C/L > 129.35 mm = 5.09″ = .424′
Width Keel/D.H. at Hull > 50.50 mm = 1.99″ = 0.165′
Width Keel at Bottom > 62.50 mm = 2.46″ = 0.205′
Underside Keel to Gunwale @C/L > 987.30 mm = 38.87″ = 3.24′
Baseline to Top of Gunwale @C/L > 857.95 mm = 33.77″ = 2.81′
Width/Breath T.G. @C/L > 2536.80 mm = 99.87″ = 8.32′
While the rough design is done. Any graphics people might want to start coming up with the scrolling and such we’ll need to carve into the wood. HINT HINT 🙂
Have a safe and great Memorial Day weekend!
